Installation instructions
1) Pick a location
2) Drill a 1/8″ hole in the drywall.
3) If a stud is found, continue to penetrate the stud about one inch with the drill bit.
4) If a hollow area is behind the wall, enlarge the hole in the drywall to 5/8″.
5) Unscrew the end of the post cap.
6) Insert the screw or bolt into the post and out of the bottom of the post.
7) Attach the wing to the bolt, compress the wing and insert it into the 5/8″ wall opening.
8) Insert the Driver Bit into the opening in the post to turn the screw or bolt clockwise inside the post.
9) If using the wing bolt, pull the accessory toward you while turning the bolt to keep the wing from spinning inside the wall.
10) Level the accessory and tighten it securely.
11) Cover the end of the post with the screw-on cap and tighten it firmly. With single post accessories, there will be one screw and one bolt with a wing; one or the other fastener will be used and the other can be discarded. If installing a towel bar, position the two holes 23 ½” apart and use the same procedure as above. With the towel bar installation, there will be a set of two screws and two bolts with wings with each towel bar.
Care and cleaning
When cleaning is needed, use only a mild soap with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use scrub pads, brushes or harsh cleansers such as alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners as they may harm the finish of your accessories and void the warranty. Often, simply dusting the accessory will help maintain the beauty of the finish. With proper installation and care you will get many years of use from SwiftStall accessories
Cautions
Use safety glasses. Be conscious of and avoid contact with water pipes, electric wires, cables, etc., that might be behind the drywall. SwiftStall accessories are designed for drywall installation. However, if you decide to install the accessories on tile, be sure to use the proper tools and do not over tighten the accessories since this can cause the tile to crack. Avoid installing in areas where the accessories might be mistaken for grab bars. Accessories and Robe hooks that are installed on solid and hollow doors require shorter fasteners to avoid penetrating both sides of a door. Brass can contain trace levels of one or more of the chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
